The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) COVID-19 task force draws up construction recovery plan lasting two years.

The task force, which includes industry bodies the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) and Construction Products Association (CPA), has issued a ‘Roadmap to Recovery’, which includes three phases:

  1. Restart aimed at increasing output, maximising employment and minimising disruption for the next three months.
  2. Reset where industry will be asked to increase demand, up productivity and strengthen the supply chain. This phase will be implemented between the 3 and 12 months of recovery.
  3. Reinvent, which will run for the second year of the recovery and will look at delivering better value and improving collaboration and partnership.
